The story
This beautiful countryside home is situated on a family farm, with horses walking right outside the window. The room, and my canvas, is a private space for my client to relax and unwind, a She-shed. My metalhead, darkness-loving client would not be easily scared by my design. The snake would rather be a warning to outsiders to keep away and stay out.
The snake represents ancient power and is a symbol of wisdom, intelligence and intuition.
I began with some sketches, which led me to a large leopard snake winding around the window area. I transferred the design onto the wall with crayons and then freehanded the rest, resulting in what you see now.
